Plenković: Goal is for Average Pension to Reach 800 Euros by the End of the Mandate 03.07.2026

Prime Minister Andrej Plenković stated today in Đakovo, at the first session of the Council for Regional Development, that the policy of balanced regional development has been a key pillar of the Government's actions over the last ten years. He highlighted that a new Law on Regional Development has been adopted and that cooperation with counties, cities, and municipalities will define future priorities. Plenković emphasized that the Croatian economy has grown for 21 consecutive quarters, that GDP has reached 93 billion euros, and that the average net salary is 1,555 euros. He specifically highlighted the goal for the average pension, which currently stands at 728 euros, to increase to 800 euros by the end of the Government's mandate, along with additional benefits for retirees. Speaking on inflation, the Prime Minister said the current rate is 4.5 percent and is expected to decrease to the EU average level by the beginning of next year.
