PM Anwar warns end of ‘culture of plunder’ as Johor crowd told clean politics must prevail 12h ago

During the ‘Johor Ke Depan, Undi Harapan’ programme in Muar on July 6, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim declared that the "culture of plunder" is officially over. He emphasized the Madani Government's commitment to cleaning up Malaysia's administrative system by eliminating corruption and the practice of enriching cronies through government contracts. Anwar stressed that leadership must be based on integrity and honesty across all races, rather than narrow racial sentiments or political rhetoric. He warned that the government will not protect anyone involved in corrupt activities. As part of his campaign for the upcoming Johor State Election, Anwar urged voters to reject dishonest leaders to protect future generations. This engagement was the eighth of fifteen sessions held during his two-day visit to Johor, ahead of the polling scheduled for July 11.
