PM courts French investors in Vision 2050 execution drive 07.07.2026

During the Tanzania–France Business Roundtable held in Paris, Prime Minister Dr. Mwigulu Nchemba urged French investors to expand their presence in Tanzania to support the implementation of Development Vision 2050. Representing President Samia Suluhu Hassan, Dr. Nchemba emphasized a shift toward commercially driven partnerships focused on industrialization, technology transfer, and value addition. He highlighted diverse investment opportunities in the mining sector, specifically regarding critical minerals like lithium and graphite, and the blue economy along the Indian Ocean coastline. Furthermore, the Prime Minister identified agriculture, infrastructure, and digital technology as vital sectors for cooperation. To facilitate this growth, Tanzania is implementing reforms to improve the business environment and leveraging institutions like the Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority to provide a stable, predictable environment for international investors seeking access to the African market.
