PM receives farewell visit from Chief Statistician Uzir Mahidin ahead of retirement, thanks him for years of service 03.07.2026

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today hosted a farewell courtesy visit from Chief Statistician of Malaysia Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Uzir Mahidin, who will retire on July 8 after reaching the mandatory retirement age. The meeting took place in Kuala Lumpur, where Anwar expressed his gratitude for Mohd Uzir’s service and dedication. In a Facebook post, the Prime Minister highlighted Mohd Uzir’s role in strengthening the national statistical system, which he described as a key foundation for policymaking and Malaysia’s development planning.
