Poland’s Foreign Ministry summoned the Russian ambassador on July 31 following a missile incursion into its eastern region a day earlier, Prime Minister Donald Tusk confirmed. The missile, identified as a Kh-101, left a crater in a field near the village of Tarnawa Kolonia, approximately 80 kilometers from Poland’s border with Ukraine. Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz stated that the missile was manufactured in the second quarter of 2026 at a factory near Moscow. An expert from Ukraine who examined the scene had no doubt about the missile's origin or model, according to Marcin Kozak, spokesman for the Lublin prosecutor’s office.
