Police assure public of tight security at Sabasaba 07.07.2026

The Tanzania Police Force has issued a formal assurance to the public regarding enhanced security measures for the Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF), commonly known as Sabasaba. During a broadcast on Usalama TV on Tuesday, July 7, Deputy Commissioner of Police David Misime confirmed that comprehensive security protocols have been implemented in collaboration with the Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade) and various defense agencies. These measures aim to protect all exhibitors and visitors at the exhibition grounds and along the various routes leading to the venue. DCP Misime emphasized that the current situation remains calm and urged law-abiding citizens to attend the event without fear. He clarified that police operations are specifically targeted at individuals who violate national laws, ensuring that the general public can participate in the exhibition and daily activities safely.
