The Malta Police Force has concluded its investigation into the General Workers’ Union (GWU) Transport, Maritime and Aviation section secretary, taking no further action against him. The case originated from a criminal report filed by the Electoral Commission regarding a message sent by the secretary to union members at Resource Support & Services Ltd on May 29, which was an electoral silent day. The GWU explained that the communication was a direct response to members' inquiries about ongoing collective agreement negotiations with company management, containing no political content whatsoever.
