California authorities are searching for a 14-year-old girl and her father after a newborn baby, referred to as "Baby Angelita," was found dead on a rural road in Monterey County on August 1. The Monterey County Sheriff's Office reported that a passerby discovered the infant, who had "signs of traumatic injury." Investigators determined that the 14-year-old had given birth to the baby on the roadside and left it there. The girl has been charged with murder, while her father, Sergio Galvez Perez, 38, is charged with multiple sex crimes, including incest and unlawful sexual intercourse, as he is also the father of the newborn.
