The officers, who defended the US Capitol on January 6, 2021, argue that the fund, intended for Trump allies who claim unfair investigation by previous administrations, violates the US Constitution and federal law. Their legal filing contends that the fund could be used to financially support individuals involved in the Capitol attack and finance paramilitary organizations, potentially funding those who threatened their lives.
