The Oyo State Police Command has successfully rescued a farmer, Owoade Mathew, who was abducted by suspected kidnappers along the Igbojaye–Budo Aare bush road. The Command's spokesperson, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, announced the rescue in a statement, highlighting it as a breakthrough in the fight against violent crime. Mathew was kidnapped on July 12, 2026, while traveling, triggering an immediate joint security operation.
