A police interim investigation report has revealed how operatives uncovered an alleged forgery and impersonation syndicate centered on a fictitious government agency known as the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC). The investigation was initiated after the Office of the Chief of Staff to the President petitioned the Inspector-General of Police on October 17, 2025, regarding forged appointment letters purportedly issued from that office. Preliminary findings showed the forged documents contained falsified signatures, reference numbers, official seals, and the Nigerian Coat of Arms.
