Pope Leo XIV, an American-born pontiff, encountered disbelief from his Chicago bank when attempting to update his contact information two months into his papacy. While on the phone with a bank teller, he identified himself by his birth name, Robert, and provided his Social Security number and security answers. However, the teller insisted he appear in person.
