Poupées pédopornographiques : Shein dans le viseur de l’Union européenne, que risque la plateforme chinoise ? 17.02.2026

The European Union has launched an investigation into the online fashion platform Shein, citing potential violations of the Digital Services Act (DSA). The probe, initiated on Tuesday, February 17, focuses on Shein's alleged sale of illegal products, specifically mentioning child-like sex dolls, and a lack of transparency in its algorithmic product recommendations. This action follows the discovery of illegal items on the site in France in late October, prompting Paris to urge the EU to take measures against the Singapore-based company. If found in breach of the DSA, Shein faces significant fines, potentially up to 6% of its annual turnover, with French courts set to rule on March 19 regarding a potential blocking of its marketplace.
