The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, today received a high-level delegation from the Italian government at the Presidential Palace, led by the Italian Minister of the Interior, Mr. Matteo Piantedosi. The meeting focused on strengthening the historical ties between Somalia and Italy, cooperation in security sectors, the development of government institutions, migration and border management, and how the two countries can further advance a strategic partnership based on mutual interests.
