He emphasized that this is a fundamental aspect of the Government of Sudan's peace initiative and expressed willingness to collaborate with CIVIC, addressing any obstacles to their operations. The discussion covered strengthening cooperation between government bodies and CIVIC, reviewing outcomes from a recent roundtable conference on civilian protection held on April 2 in Khartoum, and acknowledging memoranda of understanding with Khartoum and Kassala states' Ministries of Social Welfare. CIVIC's Deputy Chairman pledged technical support and capacity-building assistance to advance civilian protection efforts.
