Prime Minister receives Head of OSCE ODIHR Observation Mission in Armenia 07.05.2026

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Janez Lenarčič, Head of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) Observation Mission in Armenia, to discuss the upcoming parliamentary elections. The Prime Minister stated that the Armenian government has implemented measures to ensure the elections are free, fair, and transparent, creating equal conditions for all political parties. Pashinyan highlighted Armenia's commitment to democratic standards since 2018 and expressed confidence in the upcoming elections meeting these benchmarks. Lenarčič noted significant interest from OSCE member states, evidenced by a large observation delegation being dispatched across Armenia, and voiced hope for a high-level election conforming to international standards.
