PRIME Tala to lay off 10pc of its staff in Kenya in global reorganisation push 25.06.2026

Tala, a leading digital credit provider in Kenya, announced it will lay off up to 10 percent of its workforce in the country, approximately 90 to 100 employees out of an estimated 950. The layoffs are part of a global reorganization aimed at streamlining operations and centralizing functions to its global headquarters. Tala emphasized that the restructuring will not affect its Kenyan operations and is driven by a strategic move toward embedding credit services into partner ecosystems, such as insurance, financed devices, or assets like motorcycles.
