Protection of cultural relics strengthened 22h ago

China is strengthening its protection of cultural relics, a national initiative significantly bolstered by President Xi Jinping's consistent guidance and emphasis on innovation. This approach was exemplified by the restoration of artifacts from the Xuewei No 1 Tomb in Dulan county, Qinghai province, which had been subjected to tomb raids. The project, involving a multidisciplinary team and a new cooperative mode, successfully restored items like the "golden armor" and a bronze cauldron, integrating conservation as a core theme from excavation onwards. This methodology aligns with Xi's principles of prioritizing protection, rescue, rational utilization, and strict management, aiming to make cultural relics "alive" and accessible to the public, thereby preserving China's rich civilization for future generations.
