Péter Magyar's Dream Team Takes Shape: Former MSZP and 444 Faces to Lead New Public Media 03.07.2026

According to information obtained by 24.hu, the leadership structure of the new public media—referred to as Prime Minister Péter Magyar's 'dream team'—is becoming increasingly concrete. Based on press reports, György Kerényi, a former journalist for Magyar Narancs, may take over the management of public radio. Kerényi previously served as the editor-in-chief of Kossuth Radio between 2006 and 2010, later worked at Tilos Rádió and Rádió C, and was the communications director for the MSZP in 2017 at the request of László Botka. Zsófia Mészáros, the former editor-in-chief of Index and former managing editor of 444.hu, has been asked to lead the online division; in recent years, she has trained young journalists as part of the Pelikán project.
