Yükseköğretim Bakanı Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir, Ulusal Yükseköğrenim Fon Kurumu'nun (PTPTN) Temmuz 2024 ile Mayıs 2025 tarihleri arasında borç müzakere ajansları (APH) aracılığıyla 197 milyon RM kredi geri ödemesi topladığını duyurdu. Bu rakam, geçen yılın aynı dönemine kıyasla yüzde 6,4'lük bir artışa tekabül ediyor. Halihazırda, borç miktarı 3 milyar RM'yi aşan 103.418 borçlu hesabı APH'ye sevk edilmiş durumda. Zambry, yalnızca 120 ayı aşan gecikmesi olan ve mevcut yasal kararları bulunan hesapların bu ajanslara devredildiğini açıkladı. APH'nin cezalandırıcı bir önlemden ziyade, hedeflenmiş bir tahsilat mekanizması olarak hizmet verdiğini vurguladı. Ayrıca Bakan, maddi zorluk yaşayan borçluların PTPTN hukuk görevlileriyle hâlâ geri ödeme planları üzerinde müzakere edebileceğini, böylece çözümlerin kişinin özel sosyo-ekonomik durumuna ve gelir düzeyine göre uyarlanabileceğini belirtti.
