Minister of Agriculture and Food Plamen Abrovski confirmed the existence of a Q fever outbreak in the Pleven region during today's parliamentary committee meeting. He responded to a question from the committee chairman, Yavor Gechev of the "Progressive Bulgaria" parliamentary group. The disease was detected in late November 2025, but for unexplained reasons, the test results were delayed until the beginning of March 2026. The Minister announced that the prosecutor's office has been notified to determine whether a crime was committed by the individuals responsible for this delay.
