A few days after the Parti québécois (PQ) Blue Book, Québec solidaire (QS) has unveiled its own manifesto for independence, titled "Nouveau Québec libre" (New Free Quebec). This document of about twenty pages, a copy of which was obtained by Radio-Canada, outlines a vision intended to differ from that of the PQ. For QS, independence is urgent due to the ecological crisis and the renegotiation of free trade agreements under the Trump era, as Canada is deemed "unreformable on the merits." The manifesto emphasizes the necessity of a plurinational state including the 11 First Nations and the Inuit, presenting independence as the only path toward their emancipation.
