“Radev can no longer continue to be Prime Minister”: Protest against the government in Sofia 04.07.2026

A protest under the slogan “ANTI-Radev,” organized via social media, was held in front of the Presidency building in Sofia. Demonstrators expressed dissatisfaction with the administration, with organizer Manol Glishov stating that President Rumen Radev can no longer serve as Prime Minister and accusing Russia of controlling the Bulgarian economy. Protesters chanted “Resignation” and “This is not Moscow,” carrying Bulgarian, Ukrainian, and European flags, and expressed concerns that Bulgaria is facing an existential threat due to the war in Ukraine. Movement on Lege Street was blocked, and there was a police presence in the area.
