RAK Court jails TikTok user over livestream death threat 25.06.2026

On June 22, the Ras Al Khaimah Court of First Instance convicted two Gulf national men for misconduct during a public TikTok livestream on May 5, 2026. The personal dispute, streamed before a live audience, quickly turned into a heated exchange of insults, harassment, and threats. Prosecutors charged both defendants with exchanging insults via an information technology platform, intentionally disturbing others through telecommunications devices, misusing communication services, and making criminal threats.
