Christian Horner, former Red Bull Team Principal, expressed "loss and pain" over his involuntary departure from the Formula 1 team, effective summer 2025, as revealed in Netflix's "Formula 1: Drive to Survive." Horner, who led Red Bull to eight driver titles since 2005, faced allegations of inappropriate behavior from an employee, which he denied and an independent investigation cleared. Despite this, he was heavily criticized by Max Verstappen's father, Jos. Horner believes the decision to remove him was made by Red Bull CEO Oliver Mintzlaff, with Helmut Marko's consultation, rather than the Verstappens. He also suggested that after founder Dietrich Mateschitz's death in October 2022, he was attributed "too much power" within the company, leading to his exit. Horner is currently seeking a Formula 1 comeback.
