Revoir les prix, miser sur l’Europe ou l’Asie : les entreprises françaises face au « feuilleton » des droits de douane 23.02.2026

French companies, particularly in the wine and spirits sector, are facing significant disruption due to the unpredictable nature of US customs duties under Donald Trump's administration. A recent Supreme Court invalidation of reciprocal tariffs was quickly followed by Trump's announcement of a 15% tax on all imports for 150 days, creating uncertainty for businesses like the Jean-Louis Brocard domain, which had negotiated cost-sharing agreements with US importers. This ongoing "never-ending soap opera" has forced French and European firms to re-evaluate their strategies and supply chains, with Breton companies alone losing an estimated 100 million euros on 700 million euros of exports to the US, though the American market constitutes only 7% of Breton exports, with the majority going to Europe.
