Iran : Reza Pahlavi, fils du shah déchu, veut « incarner un rôle de transition » démocratiqueà 10h13 17.02.2026

Reza Pahlavi, the son of Iran's deposed Shah, has reiterated his desire to lead a democratic transition in his country, expressing this ambition on TF1 on Monday evening. He stated that millions of Iranians see him as a figure capable of embodying this transitional role, aiming to facilitate free elections that the current regime has denied. Pahlavi also called for American intervention, believing the U.S. is the only nation with the military capacity to act, especially given the regime's violent suppression of unarmed citizens during recent protests. He clarified that he is not campaigning to become king or president, but rather to serve a temporary transitional mandate, distancing himself from his father's legacy by emphasizing his own independent ideas and proposals.
