The Power Division announced on Saturday that temporary load management, lasting between 1.5 and three hours, was being implemented during nighttime peak hours due to a critical shortage of re-gasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG). The non-availability of RLNG, compounded by the delayed arrival of a cargo, has created a 3,600-megawatt shortfall in the country's power generation capacity. Additionally, electricity generation from the Mangla Dam has declined by 195 megawatts, further exacerbating the supply deficit during peak evening hours.
