Rock Werchter enjoyed a second successful evening, with British band The xx closing the mainstage with their iconic track ‘Intro’. Charlotte de Witte transformed The Barn into a club with an impressive production and a plea for club culture. Lewis Capaldi returned after a break for his mental health, proving once again his talent as a singer-songwriter. FKA Twigs delivered a powerful performance celebrating Black queer excellence, complete with martial arts and pole dancing. Franz Ferdinand and Royel Otis were both rewarded with five stars for their energetic performances, while Teddy Swims and Kae Tempest received less positive reviews.
