Messages extracted from the mobile phone of Rodolfo Reyes, majority shareholder of the airline Plus Ultra, during the bailout process in late 2020, show how executives actively sought political support from all leanings to secure a 53 million euro loan. This bailout was approved by the Council of Ministers on March 9, 2021. In the messages, Reyes mentions that "García Legaz has control over many people at SEPI" and that he belongs to the PP, indicating that they attempted to influence the State Society for Industrial Participations (SEPI) through contacts from the People's Party.
