RON97, unsubsidised RON95 and diesel to drop by 5 sen from tomorrow 02.09.2026

The Malaysian Finance Ministry (MOF) has announced a 5 sen per litre reduction in the retail prices of RON97 petrol, unsubsidised RON95 petrol, and unsubsidised diesel for the period from Sept 3 to 9, 2026. RON97 will drop to RM4.25 per litre from RM4.30, unsubsidised RON95 to RM3.77 from RM3.82, and unsubsidised diesel to RM4.67 from RM4.72. The MOF attributed the price decline to lower world crude oil prices during most of the calculation period under the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM), though prices rose again near the end due to Middle East geopolitical tensions.
