The Bavarian Red Cross (BRK) in Berchtesgadener Land fulfilled the lifelong dream of 44-year-old Niki from Surheim, who suffers from an aggressive, rapidly progressing form of Multiple Sclerosis and is paraplegic. Niki's greatest wish was to meet her idol, entertainer Florian Silbereisen. Due to her condition and her therapy dog Nala, attending a concert was not feasible. Through the efforts of BRK volunteers and with the crucial support of State Minister Michaela Kaniber, who facilitated contact, Niki was invited to the rehearsals for "Schlagerbooms 2026" in Munich on February 22, 2026. Silbereisen spent over an hour with Niki, sharing stories and laughter, making it an unforgettable experience for her.
