Live Bei Behinderung der Schattenflotte: Russland droht Europäern mit Kriegsmarine-Einsatz 17.02.2026

Russia has threatened European nations with naval action if its merchant fleet is intercepted, as stated by Nikolai Patrushev, a close associate of President Putin. Patrushev dismissed accusations of Russia using a "shadow fleet" to circumvent oil sanctions and suggested NATO intends to blockade Kaliningrad, warning that such a blockade would be broken by the Russian navy if peaceful solutions fail. This comes as Ukraine's Foreign Minister, Dmytro Kuleba, accused Russia of undermining peace talks in Geneva with a massive overnight missile and drone attack, which Ukraine's air force reported involved 29 missiles and 396 drones targeting critical infrastructure. Russia's Ministry of Defense claimed to have intercepted over 150 Ukrainian drones, primarily over Crimea and the Sea of Azov, during what was described as one of the longest attacks in recent history.
