Saiful Hazmi Saad, a seasoned legal professional aged 56, has been appointed as the new director of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission's (MACC) legal and prosecution division, effective today. He takes over this significant role from Wan Shaharuddin Wan Ladin, who has moved to become deputy head of the trial and appellate division at the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC) as of March 2. Prior to this appointment, Saiful Hazmi served as the deputy head of the prosecution division within the AGC. His extensive experience includes roles as a deputy public prosecutor in Kuala Lumpur and Kelantan, and he has prior service with the Anti-Corruption Agency, the predecessor to the MACC.
