The Sandiganbayan has archived the criminal graft case against resigned congressman and fugitive Elizady "Zaldy" Co, as announced on Friday. The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) submitted a Return of the Warrant, indicating they were unable to locate Co at any of the addresses listed in the court documents. The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) explained that archiving is a standard administrative resolution that does not affect the case's merit. IBP National President Atty. Allan Panolong stated it is a mere administrative order to prevent court dockets from becoming cluttered with cases where the accused cannot be apprehended.
