Saudi Arabia arrive in Austin to begin 2026 World Cup preparations 02.06.2026

The Saudi Arabia national football team has arrived in Austin, Texas, on Monday to commence their preparations for the 2026 World Cup. The squad, consisting of 26 players and led by Head Coach Georgios Donis, landed at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport two weeks prior to their first World Cup match. Their opening fixture in Group H is scheduled against Uruguay in Miami on June 15, followed by matches against Spain in Atlanta on June 21 and Cape Verde in Houston on June 27. Prior to these competitive games, Saudi Arabia is set to play a friendly match against Senegal on June 10. The team secured their seventh World Cup berth through a demanding qualification process in Asia, navigating through multiple rounds and a home-soil play-off victory against Indonesia to secure their spot.
