Sébastien Lecornu limoge un de ses conseillers pour consommation de drogue et overdose 19.02.2026

Michel Stoumboff, an agriculture advisor to the Prime Minister, was dismissed shortly before Christmas due to drug consumption and an overdose incident that required emergency services. The incident occurred during a private party and reportedly caused him to miss the opening of the Salon de l'agriculture. His dismissal was officially published in the Journal Officiel on February 16, 2026, effective February 17. This action was taken by the Prime Minister's office to maintain credibility, especially in light of Minister Sébastien Lecornu's stated commitment to combating drug trafficking. Stoumboff's case is not isolated, as another high-ranking official, the regional director of Île-de-France, was also fired in early February for drug use.
