Scaffolding collapsed on Nørrebrogade – one man in critical condition 07.07.2026

On Tuesday evening, July 7, 2026, at 5:31 PM, a large scaffolding approximately 50 meters long collapsed onto Nørrebrogade in Copenhagen, near number 230. The accident resulted in a man in his 30s being seriously injured and transported to Rigshospitalet, where his condition is described as critical. During the accident, several power lines were pulled down, creating dangerous situations on the roadway. Police and emergency services were heavily present to secure the area and investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. Due to extensive cordons, traffic in the area is heavily affected, and Movia has rerouted several bus lines, including 5C and 4A, in both directions. Cleanup efforts continued late into the evening to ensure that no further parts of the scaffolding fall.
