The second batch of Nigerians evacuated from South Africa amid xenophobic attacks arrived in Lagos on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at approximately 8:50 p.m. The group of 66 returnees was received at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport by officials from the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the National Commission for Refugees, FAAN, the Nigeria Immigration Service, and security agencies.
