See all of Trump’s projects as White House construction continues 04.06.2026

President Donald Trump has initiated several renovation and construction projects across Washington, D.C., coinciding with preparations for the nation's 250th anniversary. These include a proposed $100 million "Triumphal Arch" near Arlington National Cemetery, the $1.5 million resurfacing and repainting of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool with a blue hue, and a new 90,000-square-foot White House ballroom, which involved demolishing the East Wing. The ballroom project, costing up to $400 million and funded by private donations, is facing legal challenges regarding congressional approval and was subject to a federal judge's order blocking above-ground construction. Additionally, a rooftop "Drone Port" for national defense has been proposed, and renovations to the Kennedy Center, including painting and refurbishment, were undertaken. A temporary Ultimate Fighting Championship arena was also installed on the South Lawn for events.
