Seven killed, 17 injured in Singida minibus–lorry crash 03.06.2026

A devastating road accident occurred on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, on Sekenke Hill in Iramba District, Singida Region, involving a minibus and a lorry. Seven people were killed, and 17 others were injured. The minibus was en route from Singida Region to Tabora, while the lorry was traveling from Dar es Salaam to Mwanza. Eyewitnesses reported that the lorry, allegedly suffering brake failure, collided with the minibus, causing it to leave the road and fall into a ravine. Of the 17 individuals admitted to Iramba District Hospital with injuries, one later succumbed to their wounds, bringing the total death toll to seven. The remaining injured victims are reported to be in stable condition.
