Severe Heat and Rain: Storm Warning Issued in Regions of Kazakhstan 07.07.2026

According to Kazhydromet, a storm warning has been issued for various regions of Kazakhstan for July 8, 2026. Forecasters predict adverse weather conditions, including extreme heat, thunderstorms, heavy rain, and hail. In Astana and Almaty, gale-force winds with gusts up to 18 m/s are expected. In several regions, such as Aktobe, Abai, and East Kazakhstan, extreme wind gusts reaching 28 m/s are forecasted. Temperature conditions will be highly unstable: heat will reach 41 degrees in the Mangystau region, 40 degrees in the Turkestan region, and 38 degrees in the Zhambyl region. Additionally, high or extreme fire danger persists in many regions, including the Almaty and Pavlodar regions. Fog is forecasted for the North Kazakhstan region. These meteorological conditions require increased public attention to safety due to the combination of extreme temperatures and hazardous atmospheric phenomena.
