Sexual exploitation, pornography, and money laundering | 18 influencers sentenced 07.07.2026

The Criminal Chamber of the Tunis Court of First Instance delivered a severe verdict yesterday regarding a group of content creators active on TikTok and Instagram. A total of eighteen influencers were convicted of various criminal activities, including the production, distribution, and downloading of pornographic images and videos. The charges are particularly grave, as they involve sequences showing minors or scenes of sexual assault distributed via computer systems. In addition to these sexual crimes, some suspects face prosecution for incitement to drug use, drug trafficking, and money laundering derived from these illicit activities. The prison sentences handed down by the Tunisian judiciary range from one to 27 years for the convicted individuals.
