The President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, categorically denied that the detention of Gilda Susana Lozoya Austin, sister of former Pemex director Emilio Lozoya, is politically motivated. During her press conference on Friday, Sheinbaum responded to statements made by the accused, who claimed before a judge that her capture was intended to pressure her brother. The president noted that the detention was carried out by the Attorney General's Office (FGR) and that, according to information provided by the prosecutor, there is evidence of her participation in the Agronitrogenados fraud.
