„Sie haben wirklich ihre Angriffe reduziert“: So massiv schwächt die Starlink-Sperre Russlands Armee 19.02.2026

Ukraine has recaptured approximately 201 square kilometers of territory between Wednesday and Sunday, the most since June 2023, a success attributed significantly to Russia's severed access to Starlink satellite internet. Following a plea from Ukraine's Ministry of Defense in late January, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk blocked unauthorized Starlink use by Russian forces, particularly after Russia integrated the technology into long-range drones, posing a threat to Ukraine and Europe. This disruption has negatively impacted Russian military operations, hindering communication, drone control, and real-time situational awareness, leading to reduced offensive actions. Russian military bloggers have reported communication issues, and the army is reportedly seeking alternatives, with experts estimating it will take four to six months to stabilize and find functional replacements.
