Siemoniak on the threat to Poland: "All indicators show: we must be on alert" 07.07.2026

During a Tuesday interview on the program "Fakty po Faktach" on TVN24, Deputy Prime Minister Tomasz Siemoniak warned of serious threats from Russia. The politician pointed to the real risk of "false flag" provocations, in which Russia may use drones to stage an attack on Poland. Siemoniak emphasized that allied services are on full alert and that Poland is one of the primary targets of cyber aggression and espionage. He also mentioned arrests made by the Internal Security Agency (ABW) and acts of sabotage from November of last year. According to the Deputy Prime Minister, Russia is exploiting Polish debates regarding support for Ukraine to achieve its goals. The coordinator of the special services noted that worst-case scenarios must be considered, as the current geopolitical situation requires Poland to maintain the highest level of vigilance and readiness.
