On June 24, Wendy Kwek Siang Ling pleaded guilty to consenting to her company conducting regulated activity without a required licence from the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Kwek was the sole director and trainer of WK Events, which ran paid property investment courses. Through these courses, she recruited investors for the Macro scheme, an Australian dual-key housing development in Newman, Western Australia. Her company, Global Property Network Inc (GPNI), earned S$2.735 million in commissions from introducing investors.
