The Authority for Integrity in Maltese Sport (AiMS) has published Malta's first safeguarding handbook for the sporting sector, marking a milestone in promoting Safe Sport across all levels. Titled 'Best Practices in Maltese Sport', the resource aims to strengthen safeguarding standards and create environments where all participants can engage safely and confidently. AiMS Chief Executive Kevin Azzopardi stated that the commitment to safeguarding is unwavering and extends beyond the traditional protection of children and young people, as harm, abuse, discrimination, and exploitation can affect individuals of any age, ability, gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or background.
