Martin, who was promoted to head of sixth form in 2024, was found to have lied about holding a Cambridge University degree and serving as a magistrate. Investigations began when discrepancies in his age were noted on a 2025 deputy head application, revealing he had provided different birth dates. Further scrutiny exposed the falsity of his Cambridge degree claim, though he did hold a master's from Lancaster University.
