Steady inflows sustain rising water levels at Azerbaijan's Sarsang reservoir 03.06.2026

The Sarsang Reservoir in Azerbaijan currently holds approximately 320 million cubic meters of water, with continuous inflows sustaining its rising levels, as announced by Ilham Guliyev, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Regional Water Treatment Service. This information was shared during a media tour in Khankendi and the Aghdara region, organized by the Azerbaijan State Agency for Water Resources. Guliyev provided details about the reservoir's infrastructure, stating the dam stands at 125 meters in height, stretches 555 meters in length, and has a top width of 12 meters. The reservoir’s maximum depth is 103 meters, and the current water level is measured at 528 meters above sea level according to the Baltic height system.
